Refund policy

1. What this covers

This policy covers Broka Commercial licences bought from Ayhan Yavuz - Orchesta Teknoloji (“we”, “us”) — the same party as in the licence agreement §1 — including renewals.

Broka Community is free. There is no fee, so there is nothing to refund.

2. Who sells it

Commercial is sold through FastSpring, which acts as the reseller and merchant of record: it takes the payment, issues the receipt and the invoice, and pays any refund. The licence itself is ours, and so is this policy.

3. Thirty days, no questions

You may ask for a refund within thirty days of the date on your order. We refund the full amount you paid for that order. We do not ask why, and a reason you do give does not change the answer.

A renewal is its own order, and gets its own thirty days from the date of the renewal order.

4. The one exception: an offline key

Some installations run on a network with no access to the internet. They are licensed with an offline key, which the installation reads without ever contacting us — so once it has been issued, we have no way to take it back.

For that reason a refund is not available once an offline key has been issued for the order.

We issue an offline key only when you ask for one, by e-mail, and only after you have confirmed in writing that you understand it ends your right to a refund. An order whose licence has only been activated online keeps the full thirty days.

5. How to ask

Write to info@broka.dev with the order reference from your receipt. FastSpring pays the refund back to the payment method you used.

6. What a refund does

A refund ends the licence. We revoke it, and an installation activated online learns that at its next check-in, about once a day. From then on the Commercial platforms are read-only, exactly as the licence agreement §7 describes for a licence that has ended: nothing is deleted, the software still starts, and Kafka is not affected.

A chargeback — a payment reversed through your bank or card issuer — is treated the same way as a refund, and ends the licence the same way.

7. Changes

We may change this policy. A change applies to orders placed after it is published here; an order keeps the policy that stood on its date.
